As a part of our dynamic duo of operating partners, Chef Nuno Sousa infuses his culinary expertise into every endeavor. Hailing from Portugal, Nuno journeyed to New York in 2015, where he swiftly ascended to the role of Executive Chef at Vella Wine Bar & Kitchen, illuminating the city’s culinary scene with his unique gastronomic prowess. His exceptional transformation of a former beer pub, into Leitao, a vibrant and bustling homage to Portuguese cuisine, places him amongst the culinary elites in New York’s West Village.
At Leitao, Nuno channels his culinary passion and unwavering attention to detail into creating outstanding food offerings. His commitment to consistency and taste ensures every Leitao guest leaves with a smile and a full belly.

With a depth of knowledge grounded in traditional advertising and honed in the realm of coffee connoisseurship, Daniel Neumann is an invaluable asset as our Chief Operating Officer. His decorated journey includes being the operating partner and owner of esteemed establishments such as Leitao, Upright Coffee, and Alderaan Coffee. Daniel’s comprehensive understanding of the coffee industry, garnered from managing two high volume cafes in distinct markets, makes him a force in our field.
What sets Daniel apart is his unique ability to seamlessly incorporate automation into business operations, driving efficiency and scaling opportunities. His expertise lies not just in perfecting the many arts of coffee, but also in structuring systems that ensure optimum operational efficiency, making him a key driving force behind our business growth.
